A project meeting of the partners took place on 18.02.2026 at the premises of the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI) in Berlin. Following a presentation of the current project status, the participants exchanged updates on the progress within the individual work packages and coordinated the next steps in the PICANT-BOS project.
A particular focus was placed on strengthening the interconnections between the sub-projects and ensuring an efficient exchange of results among all partners. The HHI also presented an initial demonstrator, successfully showcasing a video stream using a carrier frequency of 160 MHz. The use of this comparatively low frequency targets improved building penetration and extended coverage, illustrating that WiFi-based communication can also operate on alternative frequency bands.
